One of the awesome features of the Online Quiet Time Diary is the ability to hold certain friends accountable (and for them to hold you accountable.) We've built in functionality that automatically records your daily Quiet Time, Prayer and Bible Reading and makes it available to your accountability partners in an easy to read format. This way, we can truly spur each other on to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24).
However, you may wish to hold (or be held) accountable in many more areas that just your Quiet Time, Prayer and Bible Reading. You may wish to be held accountable on exercise, purity, good eating habits, friendliness, tv watching, scripture memorization and much more. If that's the case, we have a powerful new feature that you are going to LOVE!
CUSTOM ACCOUNTABILITY
You can now create any accountability chart you want to. Simply go to the accountability section. Then, over on the right, you will see a drop down menu.
When you click the drop down menu, you will see a list of current custom accountability charts you have. You will also see at the bottom of the list, in italics, "Add New Chart." Click Add New Chart and you'll be able to assign your new chart a name. Also, you can add in a description. In the description, you may choose to include your goal. For instance, if the chart is called "Scripture Memory" your description might include something like "I plan to review my scripture memory 3 times a week." Then, your accountability partners will know how to measure your progress.
The FINAL selection in creating a new chart is the chart type. Two are available. The first is a Yes/No. If you choose this type, when you mark yes, you'll get a green on your calendar. When you mark No, or you don't mark it, it will remain red. The other type is a rating scale. The rating is a 10 star rating. You simply mark how well you did that discipline on a scale of 1-10. The more stars you mark, the higher the day will fill up with green. If you mark nothing, it will be red.
We hope these new custom accountability charts will allow you a very broad sense in which you can interact with your accountability partners.
